Camp American Legion 2022 Helping Hands
GLRC Helping Hands at Camp American Legion
Relax and Reconnect
With ample opportunities to unwind and rejuvenate, this Northwoods Wisconsin cabin retreat offers respite and recreation to WI-resident military service members and their families.
Active duty, veterans, and gold star families are invited to enjoy shared life experiences with fellow service members. Time shared on a fishing boat, around a campfire, or on a hiking trail offers healing and camaraderie within the community and individually.
Cabin Rentals
From May through October, Camp American Legion offers 21 fully furnished cabins for free week-long rentals. Some weeks during the season have dedicated themes or groups that return annually such as Vietnam Veterans Week, Women Veterans Week, or Couples Focus Week.
Included in the stay, guests can utilize fishing gear and watercrafts, along with three warm meals per day served in the mess hall. The sandy shoreline and hiking trails are accessible and various mobility abilities are welcome.
Roofing Project 2022
Give The Roofing Experts A Call If You Have Wind Damage
Since 1925, Camp American Legion has supported Wisconsin’s military, veterans, and their families. Camp has in turn been supported by various organizations like individual American Legion Posts, Legion Riders, and scores of volunteers.
Ways you can offer support: “sponsoring a veteran”, sending items off their Amazon Wish List, or Facility Restorations & Camp Projects, donations of Food & Supplies, or Recreational Activities & Equipment.
We build community one roof at a time because we value our neighbors, believe in strengthening our communities, and take pride in where we call home.
Sharing the work and mission of the community organizations is the best part of every Helping Hands project! We hope you’ll share the mission of Camp American Legion with those you know, too.
