Community Involvement Award 2022
An Annual Celebration
Annually, the NRCA takes time to recognize how roofing contractors help build their communities. The 2022 award was co-sponsored by CNA and NRCA. Eligible roofing contractors that are members of the NRCA can submit any charitable project, activity or donation completed within the year.
Monetary prizes are given for the top three projects selected by a committee. Plus a People’s Choice award is selected by the general public and also awarded a prize. The prize money is awarded to the recipient of the charitable project, not the roofing contractor completing the work.
Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin
Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin (Racine, WI) operates a village of 15 tiny homes that house military veterans who are at risk of homelessness or recovering out of homelessness. When the organization needed a new roof on its community center, Great Lakes Roofing stepped up through its Helping Hands program. We reroofed the building and did a company- and community-wide supplies drive to support Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin’s free grocery store for veterans and their families.

Building Community One Roof at a Time
Thanks to CNA, Great Lakes Roofing Corp. was able to present $7,500 to Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin. In addition, NRCA dedicated the proceeds of its Cyber Monday sale in November 2021 to Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, another $500.00.
